The Survivors Programme facilitator training

Does your organisation run a group domestic abuse programme that feels outdated? Would you like to deliver a more relevant and up-to-date programme? I train facilitators to run The Survivors Programme. The training is generally run over two days either in person or via zoom. I have trained facilitators in charities, Children’s Centres, NHS and refuges.

The topics covered are as follows –

  • Why do men become domestic abusers?

  • Methods of control

  • Coercive control

  • Social isolation

  • Sexual abuse

  • Self-blame

  • Physical abuse

  • Economic abuse

  • Weaponising children

  • Stalking, harassment & electronic monitoring

  • Trauma bonding

  • Staying safe

Please feel free to contact me for further information. Email me sandrahelenreddish@gmail.com and we can arrange a phone call or Teams chat.

Costings – I try to keep these as low as possible because I mostly train the charity sector. Costs depend on a number of factors but I don’t want costs to be a barrier to accessing this training.

Quotes from trainee facilitators:

Such good training, I have learnt a lot today. I enjoyed the active style of learning and I will incorporate much of my new learning into my role.”

I found your knowledge incredible. It was good to have lots of real examples to relate to.”

Great informative course – I can’t wait to start facilitating my first group. So much better than the course we had been running.”

Attend The Survivors Programme

One in Four Women can be read alone, but it is also the course book for The Survivors Programme, an inspiring and up-to-date course covering all the main features of domestic abuse of women by men.

Attending the course is of huge benefit in promoting recovery from domestic abuse. Many benefits come from discovering the dynamics of domestic abuse in a mutually supportive environment with other women.

The course is currently run by BWP, a small and powerful Women’s Aid affiliated domestic abuse charity based in Nottinghamshire.

BWP run The Survivors Programme via zoom for all female survivors of domestic abuse. If you would like to join The Survivors Programme, please email outreach@broxtowewp.org and someone will get back to you. Details of course dates can be found on the website – https://broxtowewomensproject.org.uk/what-is-domestic-abuse/
